“I have had the honour of knowing Mandy professionally for a number of years and she is a significant part of my Dramatherapy journey. Mandy was my placement supervisor as a Trainee Dramatherapist within a secure unit and is now my Supervisor as I voyage through my own Creative supervisor training.

I am a Dramatherapist on an Offender Personality Disorder Wing within a prison setting and Mandy is a guiding light for me through her wealth of knowledge and experience within this field, I feel seen, heard and understood. Mandy provides a holistic and person centred approach to my sessions and challenges me creatively to look inside myself for answers.

Her strong, warm, stable presence allows me to be transparent, feel contained, as well as take responsibility for myself and my own practice. I hope our journey together continues for a long time.”

-Liz Beech Dramatherapist, Inspire Service, Northampton Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT), Offender Personality Disorder pathway, HMP YOI Swinfen Hall

“Mandy has been my supervisor since April 2021.

She is creative in her approach to supervision & has a wealth of experience & depth of understanding of clinical practice.

I really appreciate the fresh perspective, challenging questions & encouragement she
offers as we explore my work. I’m so glad I found her! “

 -Anita Worcester, Dramatherapist, Coach, Supervisor.

“I have gained so much from receiving regular supervision from Mandy. She was my clinical supervisor for over a year and has helped shape me to become a better therapist. Mandy has shown consistent creative and imaginative ways to assist me to unearth sometimes complex, sometimes challenging, sometimes personal – conscious and unconscious problems that not only my clients faced, but myself also.

I felt incredibly supported after every supervision session and confident in my ability to continue my work as a dramatherapist.

I liked the way some sessions would focus on my own personal processes and how Mandy would help me at the end of each session to self-evaluate what I would be taking away with me. Invaluable, stimulating, always gently challenging and always thought-provoking with Mandy’s excellent sense of humour and grace.

Mandy is a wonderful clinical supervisor and I would highly recommend her to any professional counsellor or therapist of any modality.

Thank you so much for your guidance.”

-Christian Dixon FRSA, The AoC / The Arts of Change

“Mandy became my supervisor when I was a student in my third year of Dramatherapy training.

I found her warmth, creativity and curiosity allowed a grounded approach, which was rooted, knowledgeable and expansive in possibility.  Mandy has gone on to supervise me through the last 13 years of my growth as a therapist.  My journey has presented many challenges and an eclectic mix of client groups, issues, and themes.  Mandy has offered a safe place to breathe, explore my work, reflect, and build on my strengths. Mandy listens on many levels and shines light in areas that offer rich and valuable learning and opportunities for growth.  I find the supervisory relationship warm, non-judgemental, and honest.  It allows me to be brave and challenge myself.

Ultimately, Mandy’s supervision forms the grounding & foundation from which I can offer a rooted, knowledgeable, creative and healing service to my clients.

What Mandy offers is valuable beyond words.”

-Karen McDonald, Arts Psychotherapist- Drama therapist. HCPC Registered.

"Mandy has provided clinical supervision for the past 12 months to keyworkers and team managers from the ‘Stronger Families' Team. She has always been reliable and punctual for sessions and on the occasions when arrangements have had to be changed kept al parties informed.

These sessions have been undertaken every 6 weeks for a 2 hour period. Each team was made up of 1 team leader and 8-10 key workers. The sessions proved challenging as each key worker has had their own agenda

Facilitation of these groups have provided Key workers with an external arena for additional support, guidance and advice to aid them in empowering families to take charge of their lives together with managing their own wellbeing.

The content of these sessions has included the introduction of new ideas, reflective thinking as well as the opportunity to explore tools and methods used by peers.

Evaluation has taken quarterly where engagement and requests from workers have been discussed. On these occasions Mandy has been receptive to adjusting her approach as well as listening to requests to meet the needs of individuals
